Analog cameras and DVR’s ( Digital Video Recording ) units use older technology for recording live from a camera to the DVR. Still … it has a nice picture but not HD quality like the Digital systems have. Very popular in it’s time and a lot of Customers still have them. Currently a cheaper solution for those that need an affordable system !
Digital Systems
The new Digital systems are a little more expensive but it will give you a much clearer picture of what you are recording. Newer technology uses a NVR and IP cameras. They are interfaced using computer cat 5 cable which go back to a powered switch ( POE ) and recorded on the NVR. As the Digital camera revolution has been around for a few years now the price is getting very affordable and is definitely worth a look !
Wireless Systems
Latest systems on the market. Not overly expensive and works off of a transmitter in the camera and a receiver in the NVR or computer. No cables are needed for connectivity saving you time and money. You can have great Digital pictures and you are able to move around cameras as long as they are within your WiFi range.
